Are you eligible?
South Australian-based foodservice businesses or hospitality venues offering foodservice (Participants) are eligible to join EatDrink Local SA if you fit into one of the following venue/foodservice categories, and can fulfill the Participant Criteria as detailed below.
Restaurants
Cafes (offering foodservice, including Delis)
Pubs (offering foodservice)
Cellar Doors (offering foodservice, including Wineries, Breweries and Distilleries)
Catering Businesses
Accommodation (offering foodservice, such as Bed & Breakfasts, Hotels etc)
Experience (Agritourism experiences such as Farmers’ Markets, Food Tours and Cooking Schools).
Participant CRITERIA
Restaurants, Cafes, and Pubs must meet three of the four below-listed criteria, by naming the South Australian regions, producers or products (ingredients) used in dishes on your menu. This could be on your printed menus, on specials boards, OR by including a list of local producers on the menu or on display in the venue.
Cellar Doors, Catering Businesses, Accommodation and Experiences can meet the criteria by adhering to the Beverage and Platter criteria only.
Criteria:

Two main course dishes with a locally produced core ingredient identified by naming the local producer or regional origin (one dish for regional venues).
Example: Najobe Premium Grass Fed Tomahawk Steak with Beerenberg Smoky Bourbon Sauce, a potato galette and Taylors tempranillo glaze.

One smaller dish such as entrées, tapas or dessert with a locally produced core ingredient identified by naming the local producer or regional origin (minimum of two for metropolitan Adelaide venues).
Example: Coffin Bay Oysters Kilpatrick with Barossa Fine Foods Bacon; or Haigh’s Chocolate Mousse with Tweedvale Pure Double Cream.

Minimum of four locally produced beverage products, including at least one brewed (beer), one distilled (spirit) and two fermented (wine).

Cellar Doors, Catering Businesses, Accommodation and Experiences can meet the following criteria:
A platter option that includes a minimum of three locally produced core ingredients, identified by naming the local producer or regional origin.Example: Fleurieu Lunch Platter including Little Acre Foods Charcuterie, Hindmarsh Valley Feta, Currawong Table Olives and Skala Bakery Sourdough Bread.
Plus a minimum of four or more local beverages (as listed above).

Register to Become a Participant
Fill out the form at the link below with as much detail as possible. All information will be reviewed before a profile is added to the online directory. Once you are onboarded, you will receive a welcome pack containing window decals and a countertop sign to display at your location so patrons can identify your participation in the EDL SA program and your support of SA food and beverages.
