Red Poles
Red Poles is a multi award winning business established in 2005. Much more than a destination, Red Poles has evolved over 18 years into a café/restaurant, art gallery, B&B accommodation, a venue for art workshops and a focus for live music every Sunday afternoon. Over the years the venue has been a space for cabaret and film, a cellar door for Brick Kiln Wines, Vale Brewing, Sparkke Beverages and Sabella Wines. It is a popular venue for weddings, private functions, groups celebrating birthdays and anniversaries and families. Whether it is a special lunch for two, a gathering of a 100 people, a mothers playgroup, or somewhere to bring your dog, enjoy a coffee and relax and listen to the abundant chatter of the birds – everyone is welcome!
Having recently moved to the Fleurieu Peninsula, the current head chef Travis Jeremiah began his career in Darwin and has over thirty years of experience in the hospitality industry, previously working in restaurants, silver service and wedding catering. Travis’ upbringing in Darwin has heavily influenced his passion for blending Asian Pacific cuisine with native bush foods, and he brings a new perspective to the Red Poles kitchen to combine locally sourced produce with traditional flavours and techniques for a relaxed dining experience.
